Copyright & IP Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
This policy explains the ownership of content on DocReview (operated by Strontium Innovations) and how to report intellectual property (IP) infringement. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Our content
The Platform — including its name, logo, design, layout, graphics, text, and software (but excluding User Content) — is owned by or licensed to Strontium Innovations and is protected under the Intellectual Property Act, No. 36 of 2003 and other applicable laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
2. Your content
2.1 You keep ownership of the reviews, ratings, images, and other material you submit ("User Content").
2.2 By submitting User Content, you grant DocReview the licence described in Section 5 of our Terms of Service — a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute it on and in connection with the Platform.
2.3 You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights to the User Content you submit and that it does not infringe anyone else's IP or other rights (for example, don't upload a photograph you don't have the rights to use).
3. Doctor photographs and profile images
Profile images and professional information are used to identify practitioners who are the subject of reviews. If you are a doctor and an image of you has been used without permission, or is incorrect, contact info@docreview.lk and we will review and, where appropriate, remove or replace it.
4. Reporting IP infringement
If you believe content on DocReview infringes your copyright or other IP rights, please email info@docreview.lk with:
- Your name and contact details.
- A description of the work you say is infringed.
- The URL(s) of the infringing content on DocReview.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
We will review valid notices and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content.
5. Counter-notice
If your content was removed on IP grounds and you believe this was a mistake, contact info@docreview.lk with an explanation and evidence of your rights, and we will reconsider.
